Warnings On My Pipe Tobacco - Bloody Cheek!

Post by Steve R »

The tobacco Nazis must be aware that pipe smoking does not involve inhalation. Not only is it incorrect procedure to inhale whilst smoking a pipe, it is also both unnecessary and damned near impossible, if one is smoking a good, strong pipe tobacco.

In fact, cigarette smokers should be made aware that one will get a fully sufficient nicotine hit, without inhaling, provided an appropriately strong tobacco is selected. Examples include 1792 Flake by Samuel Gawith, Coniston Cut Plug by Gawith Hoggarth & Co and, probably the strongest of them all, as regards nicotine, the ubiquitous (at least in the UK) and wonderful Condor by Gallaher.

Interestingly, in the only large-scale study of its kind, it was seen that, on average, pipe smokers actually live longer than people who do not smoke at all. That fact is consistently 'brushed under the carpet' by the tobacco Nazis.

They had that for a while, but wouldn't stick to it, instead, the "if I want a smoke, i'll have a smoke where I like, sod everyone else" attitude got them thrown out of everywhere.
We have need of you again, great king.

That is simply incorrect.

Well, as I consider most of what you have written to be either factually incorrect or, at best, misleading, we shall have to simply disagree and be done with it.

My friend died of throat and tongue cancer earlier this year, after having most of his tongue removed and rebuilt, several courses of radio and chemo-therapy, and spending the last 18 months of his life in immense pain and misery.

Sadly, addicts tend to deny that their addiction is harmful until it's too late. Smoke and enjoy your smoke if you like, but at least be honest with yourself.
