Just heard that Coleen Rooney (McLoughlin) gets ?42,000 per month to write a magazine column !!

Where did you hear that? I'm not doubting what you say but it seems like ridiculous money, particularly when you consider that some people who would appear in a front page exclusive for the mag wouldn't be paid as much as that for the exclusive photos and interview.

It's worth remembering that this non-entity doesn't even write the column, she will speak to a sub-editor on the phone each week and give a jist of how she wants the column to sound, the sub-editor will ask her questions about certain subjects and he will then shape that into an article. She doesn't write her columns and she doesn't write her books. It's all a con. This girl is so thick I doubt she could even spell her own name.

Her and Jordan are two examples of just how far and how ridiculous modern celebrity has got. They wouldn't be famous at all if it was the 70's or 80's now. It's the modern, very American-ised, culture that we have now that enables non-entities, who would otherwise be living on an estate in Toxteth either on Beneift or earning ?6.00 per hour in Tesco's, to be a star and be rich for doing absolutely nothing and having no skills or intelligence.

What makes laugh, no cringe is the fact that the idiots that pay her this much think that the public want to hear whatever it is she's writing (loose term there for joining up letters) about. They're are complete dickheads and shouldn't be allowed to make such decisions.
