I'm a photographer, it's just a model site, but the contact page is the problem. You stick an email address on it that any spambot can see and thats it shit mail comes flooding in. so I want a word verification or any other sort of email protection to stop this.

Do you not have an email form? One where your email address is hidden? Or do you actually post your email address?

If you need an email form I have a good script.

I aint got nowt at the moment... My old site was up for 5 years and needed a re-design, that uses a script where the email was hidden, did fuck all to stop spammers, so before I go live with a new addy thats not got a spam, I want a reliable script, hence why I want so kind of "answer the question" email system

Captcha codes won't do Jack for the new waves, there are groups india who have 1000s of employee's and have actual people there typing them in.

I use a multi-dimentional approach to killing spam on some of my clients sites.

I use a off positioned input box, anc run a check that says If this box not empty then spam. Automated machines put something in each box, so using CSS to position it out of site so the machine see's it as normal but you know a human couldnt see it.

I use a captcha code with a randomised font/colour/size selection.

I then added some distortion to it.

I then perform a dns check on the domain name.

I auto dismiss .ru, .cn and various other extentions as well.

After that you can do probabilities, where you check the name, like the odds of kqxz appearing in short words are slim, so you can dump them.

You can also use SpamArrest, or an opt-in where by an email is sent back instant that requests they click a link to confirm it.

It is said that both love and truth walk hand in hand. But if the need is great enough, can we learn to love a lie?
