Is Nothing Sacred?

Post by dynatech »

Not having had a lobotomy I haven't been following the X-Factor, but I am appalled to see the 'winner' is releasing a truly awful version of Hallelujah, the song written (and originally recorded) by the masterful Leonard Cohen and made very famous by the late great Jeff Buckley.
Hats off for generating some more royalties for Len, but I would rather they leave great music great (i.e. stick to written-to-order crap)

They're locking them up today, they're throwing away the key...I wonder who it be tomorrow, you or me?

The only bit of that dreadful programme I saw was when at my sister's house a month or so back. I remember thinking how bad that little dwarf-like poofta called OO-Ogen, or however it's pronounced, will probably end up as a rent boy or drug addict (or both) - because with looks like that and being a talentless/annoying fooker, that's his only real future :)

WTF you don't actually expect Simon "CASH" COWell to actually produce something new and original do you - for somebody seemingly so talented that would be "too easy" wouldn't it??

This programme is just basically devised to massage his (and the other judges) already inflated ego and swell his already vast fortune it aint about the acts sadly ...

PEOPLE think Stephen Hawking is so clever, but when you ask him a question and he is typing in the answer on his little screen, how do we know he isn't just looking up the answer on the Internet?

I stopped watching it when they got rid of Laura... then I heard that the sexpot Ruth got the boot. The public (and judges) just don't know genuine talent when they see it.

Yeah I also think the audition shows make for some hilarious entertainment.

Is it any wonder that the monkey's confused?
