For a country that seems incapable of running it's own postal service effectively? - add to that gas, electricity, water, telecoms and virtually everything else. The UK really is a piss poor pathetic country.

The reality is that far to many managers are totally inept and are being allowed to be.

Royal Mail's top brass, for example, know there are serious issues within, there have been for decades (under Tory and Labour) but prefer to ignore them.

When shit hitting the fan more than often equates to a huge payout for ineptitude its obvious what is wrong.

Absence of leadership compounds poor management. Management and leadership aren't the same thing. Most managers duck their responsibilities in terms of leading people because it's the hard bit. You have to engage with people, listen to them, persuade them etc and not merely refer to a spreadsheet and tell them what to do. You need principles and values and this is where they're lacking. For most of the wankers it's a vanity project which makes them feel important and worthy. It's all about them when it should be about the organisation.

And I'll not point out the usage of 'to' instead of 'too', if you don't remind me the UK is actually a few countries. Plus you missed out the apostrophe in it's, its is the possessive form of it ----
