Downloading tube stuff
Real Player, which detects downloadable FLVs, doesn't work with Firefox 3. Anybody know of a free player that can do so? Firefox is much more stable than IE on my laptop so I would like to continue using it.

Free FLV Converter is a pretty good programme for this, it will rip FLV videos from youtube, dailymotion etc. to your hard drive.
You can also conver the FLV to avi and other file formats as well as converting movie files to FLV, free download and more details here:

Well I've got Firefox 3 and it works for me.
I just tried it now to make sure I haven't been imagining things.
Thankfully it works, so I'm not delusional after all.
