She maybe a name not known to many today but her passing is worthy of note . Her performance in Black Narcissus on its own is notable for its sensuality, at a time when the Americans thought Doris Day was racy!

I'm no good at posting links but go to the independent newspaper
website and look under their obits. There is a fantastic photo of
her playing Ruth in this film taken from 1947. Looks as good as any
shot taken now of any glamour model/film actress

She was in Who Is Sylvia ?with Charlie Drake in 1967 too about time it was on DVD!

Lol.. no nutters for me thanks

She looks good in both photos. Just thought that in the telegraph one
t looked like and old style photo. In the indie photo it appears a very
modern style of shot. Certainly doesn't look 60 years old in my opinion
