Anyone know why we need another DEC appeal on the BBC?

You would have to be a complete numpty not to know about the problems, what's happened and who to give donations to if you want to help those who have clearly suffered.

I am a big supporter of charities and their work but can't help wondering if this appeal is more Political under the banner of 'charity appeal' than anything.
