8mm Films Anyone

You all seem a knowledgable lot on here so here goes anyone know the best way to copy these films i and a friend picked some up a while ago
and were wondering how or the best way to get them on to say video or Dvd format.
Anyone have any ideas ?, obv a ord company wouldnt copy them would they and prob expensive.
Anyone else have any of this type of film in their collection ?
seems funny now to see these on big reels.

Hi, well the easiest way is to play them onto a screen and then just film them with a camcorder but of course the quality isnt that good, or as you have allready said send them to someone who has the expensive equipment to do a professional job but its not cheap, but there is another way you can purchase a cheap copy kit like i have which is basically a mirror and screen the mirror sits at a 45% angle to the screen you then play the film on to the mirror and copy from the screen with your camcorder, you get a much better result than just copying from a screen but the end result will always depend on the quality of the film and projector and the camcorder, i hope this is of some help, P.S. I have a number of 8mm pornos for sale if anyone is interested i was going to copy them but never found the time !wink!

I got a load of 8mm harrison marks films and films like that from that era.
i love them !!
also have a few super 8

I transfer 8mm and super 8mm (also 9.5, 16 or 35mm) films to tape or DVD(with menus).
Good quality reasonable price based in N.London.

The easiest way is to play the film in an 8mm projector and focus the picture on a ground glass screen and then video from the other side.

Ground glass gives a very soft and grainy result.
