A very good reason not to give is Hamas are always going to spend a percentage of their 'income' on weapons. If you give to DEC, and that money goes 100% on food/shelter, it then enables Hamas to divert more money from other sources for weapons and waging of a terrorist war.

This one has ran for 2000 years and won't end 'til one decides to nuke the other into dust...war is good for business. Israel has to fight or as one of their generals said a few years ago "we lose once and start swimming for Cyprus..." Neither side wants peace. Israel's weapons industry is a major employer and some of the Arab lads prefer fighting to a decent days hard graft, they live to fight, peace is alien to their culture, just like Afghans and Kurds.
