Wot no 4x4's ?!?!?!?

Post by Nob3y »

Great aint it you cant go down any street without seeing loads of 4x4's being driven by twats who you know will never take them off road in any way apart from the odd grass verge.
(some will but 99% wont)

So on a day like today where are they all ?????
I been out and the only thigns onthe road round here was one 125cc crosser( bloke was flying along) 4 quad bikes(these where really going fast and really looked like fun !! ) and the odd car.
no 4x4's in sight !!!!!!!

I hope all the anti 4x4 people who get into trouble today will refuse to be rescued by one.

Any antipathy towards these vehicals I may have would not be directed at those serving a useful purpose, such as recovery organisations, emergency services etc, rather it would be towards the ones that seem only to be used for the school and Waitrose runs. Besides, those drivers probably wouldn't know how to pull another car from a drift if they tried.

It's their money, spend it on what they want. The 'need' argument could equally be applied to a whole range of things. No-one needs to eat in a restaurant, or pay for a haircut, but they don't get pilloried for it.

Most 4x4's cant cope any better with this weather than an ordinary car can, you will get slightly more traction, but that's it, downhill they are pretty much useless, as are all vehicles, you will get the most from a Landy if you know how to use it properly, sadly most people dont....snow is the big leveller, 4x4's come in to thier own in muddy conditions not snow, having snow tyres fitted will help-a bit, but once the tread is full...forgetaboutit.

Nah you can get a mate with a pair of scissors to give you a basic cut for free. Most people want to pay because they fancy something a bit better than basic. Like a 4x 4, for example.

I'm surprised at how many people are too scared to drive in the snow. I park in a block of about 30 garages and most are used daily - today when it is obvious by tyre tracks whether a car has been out or not, there were only five cars used by 4pm. The shops were also nearly empty and the roads weren?t that bad.
