You don't know what to believe. If you went into a bookies and asked for a price for Jade to be alive at Christmas they'd give you one. It's utterly cynical,exploitative and demeaning. I wonder if there's a clause in the Hello/tv money that she forfeits some of it should she live ?

The answer is to concentrate on uplifting things but this stuff is pervasive. You only have to open your homepage and see a pic or a storyline and your spirits sink without reading further.

I do feel sorry for anybody suffering from cancer, regardless of who they are. If the media are willing to pay, I don't see anything wrong with her taking it. It's the British public to blame for the public nature of her death, most of those interested are like her, uneducated chavs who live more by instinct than anything else.

I'd advise Elton to screw everything down, because the sort of guests who may turn up at a chav wedding could try to walk off, probably stagger because of the free booze, with a few souvenirs. It would make a great tabloid story if a fight broke out and the place was trashed in a lager lout brawl - although I suppose that's what they're actually hoping for.

Hungwell, you're constantly mouthing off about Chavs. Today in the news there are questions about Jacqui Smith's expenses, the implication being that she's fiddled them. Of course she's innocent until proven otherwise but there is an investigation, but according to your view of society and how social class determines behaviour and morality she should be above suspicion because she's educated and middle class.

How could it be or is she the victim of mind control exerted by a 'chav' ?

She's a greedy old money grabber for sure, but she's only taking what she's entitled to. If the rules allow it she's done nothing wrong, although the rules probably need changing to stop things like that. The thing is though, there are only circa 600 MPs, so if they fiddle/extort expenses it doesn't really amount to that much in overall terms as a percentage of GDP --- but two million chavs lording it up on benefits, income support, tax credits, rent free houses, council tax paid etc. etc. - and knocking out little chavs left, right and centre for extra benefits does actually cost quite a lot.

You're right, not everyone who lives in a council house is a chav, in fact most aren?t - but the breeding ground for chavs is run down benefit dependant council estates, unfortunately. Those who have never worked and never intend to work do live on these sink estates - and there is an estate like this in virtually every town.

What I'd do is limit benefits to 6 months and child supplements are not increased after two children. After 6 months you only continue to get benefits by reporting five days a week for workfare, any children could be looked after in a nursery whilst the parent is picking up litter, chopping trees down, cutting grass or whatever. The Irish Republic operates an efficient system of this nature. Also I'd give no help whatsoever to anyone under 21 who becomes pregnant - they should be supported by their family, as is the case in most European countries.

People take advantage of whatever the system allows them to get away with - so if people can live their lives sponging, a certain percentage will, it's human nature. The system needs altering so it's not possible to sponge - or if you can, it isn't really worth your while.
