In summary, Lord Ahmed sent a number of text messages whilst driving down the MI at night. Although not proven that he was texting at the time he drove into the back of a car in the outside lane, killing the driver.
He admitted dangerous driving.
Sentenced to 12 weeks, he has been released after 16 days in jail, on appeal, due to the community work that he has done in the past.

Maybe the governor feared he would be turned into a Gay Lord during incarceration and take advantage of a few young crims - so he kicked him out to stop him enjoying his stay too much.
