Of course the wife knew. You can`t believe she didn`t know he was upto something in the cellar. She was never curious about what he was doing in there. Twenty four years and she wouldn`t wander where the fuck her daughter is and how come she never sees her when she drops of a kid? She fucking knew but like a lot of mothers let it go on because if he`s fucking the daughter, he`s leaving her alone

I suspect that you may be right mate. I'm just pleased that Elisabeth has been strong enough to give a lengthy testimony. Maybe one day she and her children will be able to lead a relatively normal life.
As for the bastard father, they should lock him in an unlit cell for the rest of his natural and feed him bread and water once a day.

In a way he got away with it. He's had a normal lifespan already - any additional years in prison are a bonus, probably with a nice cell, 3 meals a day and a TV + PC. Should really sentence him to live in the UK for the rest of his life, that would be a real punishment.

If he doesn't top himself soon, say 6 months max, he won't want to after that. The man is simply too banal not to take to prison life. He will have the company of other supremely banal persons. That company alone will keep his hypocrisy in place.
