U2's forthcoming tour could be most amazing ever !
I've seen a mock-up of their new stage online, which will be present at huge gigs in stadiums throughout the world this summer. The shows will happen 'in the round' which means it will be in the middle of the stadium with the crowd on all sides, and will slowly rotate. The tour is called 'U2:360'. Imagine a mock-up, to scale, on the desk in front of you. If each band member is half the size of a sugarcube in height, the stage is about the size of the microwave in your kitchen. I so want to go. The tickets went on sale two days ago but are bound to be sold-out. I will try though and may have to buy one from a tout at crazy expense. Even if you don't like U2, just from the point of view of the spectacle that it will be, it will be worth it. Has anyone on here got tickets, or is hoping to go? Will be incredible.

Reminds me, Keith, of the time I saw Genesis and had the stacks hide the singer- Ray Wilson, as it happens- from me all fucking night.

No Line has dropped to no6 after one week. They aren't as popular as they used to be.

Yes, I read about that just a few days ago. The hypocrisy is stunning.
I just dissolve into laughter at the sight of a Bono - a middle aged man, wearing Ali G sunglasses and lecturing world leaders on how to fix the world's problems. Only Holly Valance has all the answers.

More so even than those other egotistical tossers "Saint" Bob Geldof and Sting.
I don't like his voice either. I did see them once though back in their early days, playing my Students' Union (must've been '81, maybe '82). They were better back then, before they became all bombastic and full of themselves once the big money started rolling in.

U2....
Forget Rule One: Nothing Outrocks The Zeppelin And Never Will. Thankfully the Americans never forget this.
Bonio has had a hair transplant- nearly as bad as Nicolas Cage's.

No decline on the horizon?

After two weeks, actually. Last week was the big Mother's day push, so they were bound to tumble.
NLOTH debuted at #1 in 30 major territories (as they're called), including the US, which isn't bad for a band who, as you say, aren't as popular as they used to be. But then who is?
Tickets are already scarce, and as for the music, NLOTH is easily their best in well over a decade, btw.
