There's a mole in the House of Commons!

Post by max_tranmere »

This made me laugh when I heard it on the news. There is a mole somewhere inside Parliament who has offered to reveal details of MP's expensives to a national newspaper. There is now a kind of witch-hunt going on to find out who it is. I like hearing things like this, some maverick who is not willing to toe the line and sees it as his or her duty to do the right thing. Sounds all very Frederick Forsyth: secret phone calls, the mole agreeing to meet a man in a long coat and hat late at night, who goes only by a first name, and where you never make eye contact, in an alley-way and you hand over a briefcase. We need more people like this in Whitehall!

Notice how quickly they've launched an enquiry into this, and want immediate action, compared to the speed of the enquiry into their expenses?
We have need of you again, great king.
