Why the instant slag-off?
I'm not going to point the finger, but why are people so ready to think the worst of another poster's often innocent failure to instantly reply to some offer, request, whatever, or to misunderstand what is said? Jeez, lighten up. I've recently emailed a couple of posters on here. So one of them took a few days to reply, and for a very good reason, I didn't slag him off on here in my impatience. Must go, I've got a halo to polish.

I wanted to answer with something like "Why dont you fuck off and die?!"... but since I've no reason to dislike you I'll just give a reasonable response.
Although this forum can be a bit of a shock to sensitive souls, the worst forums in general are electronics technical forums.
I am a bit of a techno-nerd and often ask questions on various forums from mechanical construction through to woodwork. For some reason, electronics types can get really bitchy about how much smarter they are than everyone else. Simple questions about why something works as it does can result in a thread going on for days. Typically 2 or 3 habitual trouble makers will abuse each other over their lack of knowledge until one of their mums turns off their computer.
I have never seen this form of professional jealousy so pronounced in any other area of technical or scientific circles. I guess the arts can be like this from what I've seen.

Oh, you are so right, I often read those forums when my pc is being stooopid. Sex should be available on the NHS for those people, they seriously need to get laid. They have such a technological superiority complex.

Yep, Mrs JJ had a torrid time recently when she posed a gentle
question to these arseholes.
In the end it turned out she was right and she went into major
'smug' mode when pointing this out. The silence was deafening.
