Purge about to happen.....
Re: Purge about to happen.....
Lets hope so,can only aid labour if hes not leader.
Re: Purge about to happen.....
He wont get the push, a job will be conjured up for him, and then some ne-lab spin, will ensure his resignation had nothing to do with leadership qualities.

Have you seen him on tv recently? He looks absolutely terrible, haggard, worn, bad tempered. I don't think he'll resign, but I can quite see him keeling over. He's Scottish after all, and they don't tend to make old bones, and this man looks sick.
Re: Purge about to happen.....
yea I make you right.
He seems to have aged 10 years in the last few months.
Mind you everything going wrong like a line of domino's falling over one by one hasnt helped lol

Who in their right mind would actually want the job right now! Surely better to let Brown get whooped and then take over and rebuild after the election.
I do feel slightly bad for him thought, Tony Blair was like a bad fart and stayed a few years too long, then one thing after another happened to Brown. Terrorists, Floods, Credit Crunches, Recession off the top of my head.

I've a feeling that unless he's pushed first by his own party, Gormless might well try cling on desperately to the bitter end (i.e. until May 6th 2010) out of sheer desperation.
But his main problem is that various members of his Cabinet now seem to be falling over themselves to declare their undying loyalty towards him, adamantly ruling themselves out as replacements and insisting that "Gordon's the best man for the job"
Which is a bit like when football managers have "the full backing of the Board" - a sure sign that the knives are out and that their days are numbered.
And yes, I've no doubt that some highly-paid non-job (probably at the EU) will be invented for him once he leaves office, irrespective of whether he's pushed out in a NuLabour palace coup or is voted out by the long-suffereing British electorate.
