I don't think people realise what a momentus moment the resignation of Jackboot Jacquie is.
This atrocity of a Home Secretary has twice defied the European Court of Human Rights on the issue of DNA databasing and was hell-bent on pushing lots of other similarly Orwell-esque legislation through as soon as she possibly could. The whole Damian Green episode summed her up, she was put into that position to fulfill the erosion of basic Human Rights in the UK and its transition into a Police State, and no-one - the Opposition, the media, the public, Brussels, Parliamentary protocol - was going to stop her.
Thus, this announcement of a signifficant cabinet "reshuffle" just 2 days before the Euro election signiffies meltdown of The Undertakers government. A definable "axis of evil" can be seen in the "Stepford Wives" (formerly the "Blair Babes"): Jackboot, Harriet Harperson & Hazel "Expenses" Blears all wielded a lot more power and influence than people realised, and were (literally as it turned out) as thick as thieves.
Once the main players such as Jackboot start going to the wall it's obvious things are falling apart for this regime. Whether or not Cameron's future government will be much better remains to be seen, but this current crop of champagne socialists have been holding a knife to the throat of liberty - and it seems the dyed-in-the-wool apologists are too blind to see what has really ben going on.

They're locking them up today, they're throwing away the key...I wonder who it be tomorrow, you or me?

Smith is well up the list of Labour government members who have, through their tireless efforts to reduce civil liberties in this country, ensured I will never vote Labour again. It will be interesting to see if her replacement will be quite so gung-ho on ID cards.

I'd say you'd make a good MP Max by your reply but you clearly won't if all you can do is avoid the issue.

In a perverse sort of way I hope the local and European elections (remember them?) become the disaster predicted.

I sincerely hope that the Tory's do well and it gives others the opportunity to see just how crap they are in power and the understanding that if they can be this shite in local government and Europe how they will be running the country prior to the general election.

Those making the protest votes for the BNP will hopefully soon hang their heads in shame but while you currently prefer to see Labour in the brown stuff I will really look forward to seeing the conservatives, especially the new Green Dave Whoops-a-daisy clan squirm when the realize what they have done.

Noticed that the Tory's are allying themselves with the far right when they get in and Poles against homosexuals.

Be interesting to see how the Eton rent boy users justify this as well !laugh!

While I appreciate your continued conspiracy theory (it's quite a giggle when I am bored) I wonder if you've actually been in a position to need the Police to deal with anything?

I am not on about making a 999 call just getting them to deal with anti-social behaviour, speeding etc.

It's almost impossible where I live and when you attend PACT meetings figures on incidents are hidden, if they have even been recorded and the response is to pass the buck to those with authority to deal namely the local council.

That buck passing is all well and good but when the Tory councillors do not attend PACT meetings, which they don't and never have since they were elected, it makes issues affecting people on a daily basis almost impossible to deal with.

I'd give anything to live in the Police state you dream about if it meant the arseholes who live round here, be it druggies or just cunts who find it perfectly acceptable to take a piss in the street day or night were dealt with but it doesn't.

If anything it's the opposite a council and a force who will find every excuse possible not to get involved.

Smith is partly responsible for that which is why I am, far from being an apologist for her, more absolutely delighted she has resigned. It should have happened ages ago.

I know it's hard to understand but it's the European elections this week not the general election and Tebbit has said don't vote Tory in them.

That's because they need the elements brought to societies table by the disrespectful underclass to keep the likes of you clamouring for more laws, more restrictions etc.
You (and millions of others) are being played like fiddles.
Far from being some kind of wayward conspiracy theory, you have just proved that very point!

This "Tories bad, Labour good" schtick is beyond lunacy at this point in time, the government of the last 12 years have shown themselves to be a deep shade of blue. This philosophy is as fudged as (for example) the incompetant imbeciles at Unison, on one hand urging people to strike against piss-taking pay "awards" and on the other sending out junk mail urging their members to 'Vote Labour!'

They're locking them up today, they're throwing away the key...I wonder who it be tomorrow, you or me?

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear.

First of all I don't want any more laws I want the ones in place now working correctly.

It's completely fucking pointless bringing any more in if the ones already in place aren't fucking working.

It is total bollocks to even think that just because X is Tory must be wrong and Z is Labour so obviously right. I am not interested from which party the ideas come from, so long as they are good ones. That type of politics bores the arse of me, it was something Green Dave said he wouldn't be doing but now is at every single opportunity.

Numpties and your are numpties accept this without question purely because he looks good on telly, which is worse than pathetic but if you think its wonderful your welcome to it. Be smug when he's elected but don't then start moaning when the reality kicks in at it all goes tits up!

Can't make head nor tail of that last paragraph, old boy. It seems to contradict the preceeding paragraph which did make sense.
