The most arrogant/racist/sexist/homophobic man I ever worked wit was a Jamaican - plus he played the race card at every opportunity to cherry pick the work he wanted to do and silence any criticism when he made a balls of it. He did nothing to foster good race relations ? in fact he went out of his way to be a cantankerous old bastard.

He even used to admit he liked to stir it up, it was his way of getting back for the racism he'd suffered in his past.

So, what point are you trying to make?

You don't have to be white to be racist/sexist/homophobic.

I'm mixed race. I like rascist jokes, they make me laugh. I tell them to my friends. I call friends retards when they say something stupid. I think some things and objects are gay.

But I don't say these things to stangers. What's wrong with taking peoples feelings into account when conversing with them.

Political correctness may have overstepped its bounderies on some occasions, winterval instead of Christmas for instance, but used sensibily, especially in the workplace, there's nothing wrong with it. It's good practice.

It's the resentment and the malice behind such words that makes the difference behind what I say to my friends, and the vibe I got from reaching the original post. There's no true conviction behind what I say, I don't believe the racial stereotypes in jokes are true, so they can be laughed at.

I always feel when people complain about political correctness, it's because they actually believe in what they are not supposed to say. The homophobes, rascists, predjudiced people need to change their views, not just their language.
