I have? Please show me where? I summarised our little conversation nicely and it clearly shows you losing the plot.
I started the thread based on democracy...
I never said you didn't. I just pointed out that you seemed more irritated about some white extremists being intimidated off the streets than some Muslim extremists being intimidated off the streets. I then asked why.

Well.....why?

How does one manage to defend BNP attitudes towards porn just to turn it into an attack on Labour?

Reggie, I dont support the BNP. I voted for UKIP. I have posted things about the BNP on here but have never hinted that I ever supported them. Whether you chose to believe that is up to you. I can't make you believe something - but if you read what I've said over numerous posts you will see that I have just raised the subject as it is topical and worthy of discussing. Are all the journalists who have written things in recent days about the BNP secret BNP supporters? I doubt it, but you probably think they are because in your mind all someone has to do is raise the subject of the BNP and they must be into them.

I find it incredible that you would say that Barking & Dagenham 'should be nuked'. That is an area of people who go to work very day, enjoy their families, and so on. Yet in your mind that area (and its people) should be all wiped out. I've stated several times that I dont support the BNP and you can either believe that or not - it will hardly make any impact on my life if you do or dont - but I find it bizarre that someone can so condemn everything the BNP stands for (which I do too) and at the same time say that many thousands of men, women, and kids should be incinerated. Inbuilt into that statement of how Barking & Dagenham 'should be nuked' is a desire to do to people something that far exceeds anything the BNP might be proposing to do. Are you trying to outdo the BNP?
Either does not bother me, [sic]*
Oh, I think it does. When it was the Muslims being pushed off the streets it was all about reminding them what country they were living in and no issues whatsoever with the other Muslims that forced them off the streets.

When a BNP leader has the exact same experience it's now about questioning democracy.

I see that as inconsistent, JR, which inclines be to presume a little bias towards the white fascists rather than the brown fascists (because I do believe that Islam is fascist to the chore - the difference being that the ideology is based around a religion rather than race or political allegiance).

I'm sticking up for Nick Griffin's right to free speech, here, just like I stuck up for those Muslims the other week. Both are extremists, both are fascist in their outlook and both are pretty unpleasant groups; both should be treated with equal contempt in my eyes. Both, however, do have certain rights in this country of ours and I have no problem defending them.

Regardless of what I think about political Islam or racist political parties and whatever peoples' opinions are in granting them the right of free speech, I think that denying them that right also denies me -and everyone else- the right to choose whether we want to hear them. If we are denied hearing alternative views then how can we assert that our own ways of life have been chosen fairly? We are living a life we think is best based around ignorance and that isn't how we should run a society. Don't you agree?

* My grammar isn't the best but I think it should read: 'Neither bother me,'.
