What makes someone "privileged" ?........Do you mean he is wealthier than you ?
privileged - fortunate - having unexpected good fortune; rich - possessing material wealth;

I'd say that covers 'privileged', BSH.
Well I'm sure a lot of people are, I would guess you are wealthier than a lot of other people too, does that make you "privileged" ?
Yes. I suppose you could say that to be privileged is relative. I'm not the one, though, who's goal is to grasp power, nor the one who's sense of humour is still stuck in the '70s.
If he was born into a wealthy family there's not really much he could do about it is there,
I never said there was, did I? He was fortunate to be born into such a family (see 'privileged'). I have no issues with that. I have issues with being 'privileged' and also thinking it's ok to take the piss out of other nationalities' pasts and accents. Surely a 'privileged' education like he's had gives him less of an excuse to resort to such twatishness. It might be ok amongst your mates down at the pub but being included in a public, political address? Only a twat would think he could get away with it and only twats will let him. Think what the presses, and your reaction would be if GB mocked an Eton schoolboy accent when talking about Tory policies.....you with me now?
Banding about this "privileged" shite is typical "left wing" and "commie" speak for "he's got more than me, I don't give a shit how he got it but it's just not fair cos I want it"
Is it? Who said that, was it Marx or Engels? Let's throw this back at you: what do you mean by 'left wing' and 'commie'? Do you mean "I still can't get out of the habit of wanking over my Maggie Thatcher sticker-book and anyone that even remotely disagrees with my views must be a beret-wearing Trotskyite?" And if I was a 'commie', so what? Does it make my views on Cameron and mocking German accents any more, or less valid?

I just find it funny that after all the -borderline- racism these past few months, and after all the 'whores, bimbos, slags, sluts' -on a porn forum nonetheless- and other name calling , I'm being questioned on the usage of 'privileged'. Not that I don't ever want to be questioned; I welcome it, but you have to admit that it's hilarious the things people will conveniently ignore and yet get agitated over lesser ills like this one.

Who's Mandelbum? Do you mean Mandelson? Are you using the 'bum' bit in reference to him being gay? Genius.

Hey! Maybe Cameron will refrain from the accent mockery and try a bit of homophobia next! Would you like that, BSH? Don't think he will though. Too many still in the closet over on the Tory side, innit?

Anyway, believe what you want about the extent of my affections for Gordon Brown, or Mandelson, or whoever. I've said I'm not really a fan but I can't make you believe me! I prefer him to Cameron though, and I have a Nobel Prize winning economics professor who agrees.
Why bring up his wealth ?
I didn't, you did. I brought up him being privileged, which can mean more than just wealth (a privileged education, for instance).
He never had "unexpected good fortune" he was just born and brought up in the environment that he was, just like you were !
I never said he had 'unexpected' good fortune. I said he was fortunate. Please read my posts carefully. The 'unexpected good fortune' quote was one single meaning of 'privileged' from the dictionary.
If your hero Gordon Brown had made such a quip it'd be "Oh Gordy's got a personality blah blah blah"
Assumption and conjecture. Gordon hasn't said on done anything and Cameron has.
A sense of humour is the one thing that the British "GET" which is why Brown and his other autobots are so out of it.
I 'GOT' a lot of Jim Davidson jokes but it didn't mean I liked them. I don't want that sense of humour from a PM.

Oh, and thank you for answering my questions.

I didn't say it. I quoted it from the dictionary (as I've already made clear). I don't see why you're spending so much effort on arguing over the word, tbh.
You really do just argue for the sake of it don't you ? !
It depends on my mood. In this instance, though, it is you who keeps coming back to the word privileged, after I've addressed your questioning and concerns. If I've not addressed them to your satisfaction then point out where and I might elaborate further, if I think it might help. I doubt it will, though, because you just seem to want to defend Cameron at all costs and attacking what words I use to show my displeasure at his humour is, whether you was conscious of it or not, detracting from the real issue: I don't want a PM who takes the piss out of other nations' accents and pasts.

I also don't understand why you think it's me who 'likes arguing for the sake of it' when 90% of this whole exchange between us has just evolved around you asking me to justify my views and me answering them. Hardly an argument, and if it is it is you doing the arguing!

I thanked you in my last post for answering my questions, which I thought was blunt enough for you to recognise as sarcasm. Now, either you recognised it but was disinclined to answer them, or I overestimated your comprehension of the subtleties surrounding discourse.

So, for bluntnesses sake:

Would it be ok for Cameron to resort to camping it up upon any references to Mandelson? I mean, us Brits 'GET' humour after all.

Would it be acceptable to you if the current PM mocked a toff accent when attacking the Tories?

What do you mean by 'left wing' and 'commie'?

Do you really need me to tell you the difference between a quote and what I actually say? If you're confused then I'll happily elucidate.

Why are you unwilling, or unable, to answer my questions?
