Bruce at Glasto

Post by andy at handiwork »

On now, and a few observations. The sound isn't that good but hasn't apparently been all w/e. Horribly under lit. Has Clarence Clemons had a lobotomy? Christopher Biggins on drums? Is that a tribute to the Pogues he's doing now?

I would have to admit similar feelings and I'm a huge fan. And if I was there with all those fuckin awful flags in the way I'd be well pissed off !

The flag wavers need shooting, no doubt about that. The gig was good though, and with Steve Van Zandt playing the guitar I can never quite get over the feeling that Tony Soprano is going to appear with a baseball bat to sort someone out. Maybe he could deal with those fucking flags!

IS'NT IT GREAT TO BE A CRITIC WHEN YOUR SITTING ON YOUR FAT ARSE IN FRONT OF A TV SCREEN....MAX WEINBERG IS ONE OF THE WORLDS FINEST DRUMMERS...35yrs AT THE HEART OF THE E STREET BAND,AS FOR CLARENCE,HE'S JUST UNDERWENT DOUBLE KNEE REPLACEMENT SURGERY....DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR...ENJOY LIVE MUSIC AS IT'S MEANT TO BE,NOT THROUGH A CATHODE RAY

Bruce is one of the performer I have seen live, I have seen him and the E-Street band live on five times.
The E-street band are great live and the Big Man Clarence is a great saxaphone player and Max is also a great drummer.
I through the set at Glastonbury was great, it was a shame about
the flags, did anyone know were was Bruce wife Patti ?.

Bruce came over rather well, but he's always been a performer you need to see in person as the camera quite sharply dilutes the atmosphere he can generate.

Nothing as startling as Tom Jones though, who terrifyingly seems to be mutating into George Galloway. Eek!

Wasn't that Patti playing acoustic guitar and violin to Bruce's left?
Nils Lofgren always looked pissed off now that Little Steven returned to the band. Clarence looked VERY old and bored.
To me, Roy Bittan is the genius of the band.

Bruce never gives less than 100%. Not too sure about his pantomine boots last night though
