virus warning!!

Post by Storm »

READ IMMEDIATELY AND PASS ON TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW

Someone is sending out a very cute screensaver of the Budweiser Frogs.

If you download it, you will lose everything! Your hard drive will crash and someone from the Internet will get your screen name and password! DO NOT DOWNLOAD IT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!

It just went into circulation yesterday. Please distribute this message. This is a new, very malicious virus and not many people know about it. This information was announced yesterday morning from Microsoft. Please share it with everyone that might access the Internet.

Once again, Pass This>>>>>>TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS

The msg you are passing along is a HOAX and has been since 1999. There is no virus that can crash a harddrive, it can delete files, but not crash it.

More information about the hoax can be found here http://vil.nai.com/vil/content/v_10579.htm

Yep there's nothing new there, I remember seeing one called (I think) the Torch virus before the Beijing Olympics that was supposed to cause your H/D to burst into flames.

Is it any wonder that the monkey's confused?

has happened to most of us at one time of another

Rule number one...click on anything in an email at your peril...

Even some devious bastards on these forums in years gone by have been known to hijack forumite names and send viruses to the people they speak to

Always check against the hoax list

Why are people so stupid to believe everything they get in an email.
