All this positivity is quite sickening.

Re: Britain, 50 years from now...
I have no idea what it will be like in 50 years time. if Im lucky I might be hobbling around on my zimmer frame looking back at all the porn I produced beckoning all the young whippersnappers what a scally wag I was back in my day and regaling the youth with stories back in the day.
One things for certain. A loaf of bread is gonna be a lot more expensive by then and Max....Why is race at the heart of most of your threads? Are you fearful of the future being run by people with colour?
If this continues we might have a post apocalyptic race war and i was half believing that Terminators were going to be running amok in the future.

Yeah, we're a bunch of wild-eyed optimists.

I know! I mean, we die younger than we did 100 years ago, there's more inequality between the sexes and races than 100 years ago, we have less human rights than we did 100 years ago, worse health care, gays are ostracised and ridiculed more than ever, there's more people starving nowadays.......it's obviously getting worse! Why can't you guys see it?

In 50 years time things will be exactly as they are now. Old gits on BGAFD will still be moaning about something or other.

Re: Britain, 50 years from now...
one eyed jack, it's not about race it's about ideaologies and loyalty issues. Trevor Mcdonald is as English as Hugh Grant for instance; someone from the middle east however who hates everything about this country, would (to get into Norman Tebbit type definitions of these things) would boo the national team and cheer for the country they or their parents grew up in, and whose good book tells them that they can not have loyalty to the place they are in but must have loyalty to the green flag of Islam (and who would tell you from their own mouths that they are not British at all - even though they bizarelly demand to be regarded as British and would create merry hell if they weren't) - having about 15 million people in the country like that, which we most likely will have 50 years from now, will only lead to major problems. But the media, and the useless out of touch politicans, tell us that we will be the only country in the world where having two very differnt peoples (in terms of idealogy) will NOT lead to problems. Why on earth, 50 years from now, will Britain NOT have the same kind of conflict currently happening within Pakistan, that happened in Northern Ireland, the issue with the Israeli's/Palestianians, and so on? There is no reason people of differnt colour can't get along fine - people of very differnt ideaolgies generally (in fact always) do not. It's a shame, but it is true.
