Swine flu or New Flu

I am reading about the New Flu and what I want to know is this swine flu and the state has in some Orwellian way changeg its name to make it appear less of a threat and also to appease the powerful meat industry in order to encourage people to keep on eating pigs?

the EU decided to change its name first to assist their friends in French farming I believe.

Some muslim countries opted to keep calling it Mexican flu, as it was originally termed, for obvious reasons.

Wouldn't surprise me if this sort of pandering played a part in any decision to change the name from swine flu.

I guessed as much! It's just a euphemism for swine flu and by doing this the state is just misinforming a gullible public. Notic e how the media immediately start using the Orwellian phrase New Flu?
