1. If by PC you mean not using language to belittle, diminish, marginalise, discriminate against or generally do down others one might not consider worthy of politeness and respect, then yes.

2. All governments pass good and stupid laws. Our present one does not hold a monopoly on bad legislation.

3. As 2 above.

How can telling the truth cause so much trouble? Broon is a twunt of the highest order and is supposedly coming to the Lakes for his hols. I hope his driver gets lost and he haeds up to some scenic Scottish resort like Motherwell or Partick.

I'll say he's now the longest "unelected" (and for the purposes of Slater speak unelected means fighting a general election as PM or potential PM) Prime Minister since the war. I might be wrong......prove me wrong

Winston Churchill became Prime Minister in May 1940 when Neville Chamberlain resigned.

He didn't fight an election until July 1945 - which he lost.

He was an unelected Prime Minister for over five years by my reckoning.

I'm no fan of Brown, but what has his disability got to do with anything?

Clarkson is turning into Jonathan Woss mark 2.

The sooner the BBC sack both of the cunts the better.
Actually we vote for our MP, a person, an individual.
We still don't elect a PM though, do we? People vote for individual MPs, sure, but the ultimate goal is to get a party into power. I will, though, concede the point about voting for parties directly.

So what's all this 'crock of shittery' about Brown being an unelected PM that everyone uses to discredit him? My concession still doesn't alter my main point about electing PMs: we never have.
It's clear you vote for a party and it's clear you vote for the Labour party...
Wrong, again. We've had this conversation before and yet you still feel the need to assume things based on me simply pointing out peoples' untruths. Hand on heart, I have never voted Labour, in any election.
but the reason this country is fucked and Labour are fucked is because of one man, Gordon Brown,
Well, if it's only one man that's the problem then the Labour party must be pretty fucking decent! To blame everything on one man shows that you've clearly lost the plot and cannot reason in a rational manner. Lay down for a bit with a cold flannel on your forehead before replying.
He bottled the election in 2007 and because of that we're going to have to endure an additional year of this one eyed cunt.
A true Tory. Cameron would be proud. Is this the Britain we'd get under the Tories: mock German accents and using physical disabilities to abuse? I wonder if there are any forumites reading this who are indeed disabled in some way? Maybe they should reveal their disability so next time you disagree with them you can take the piss. Would you like that, BSH?
I'll say he's now the longest "unelected" (and for the purposes of Slater speak unelected means fighting a general election as PM or potential PM) Prime Minister since the war. I might be wrong......prove me wrong :)
But it isn't 'Slater speak' is it? It's your own personal opinion of 'unelected', so it's BSH speak. 'Slater speak' is that the longest serving unelected PM since the war is Margaret Thatcher because PMs are NOT elected by the public.

Don't forget that cold flannel.

Lets not forget the VAT scam that Branson used to run in his early record selling days, involving the export and re-import of records. A scam that cost him dearly when Customs and Excise were made aware of it.
Your argument that we don't elect PM's was based on your statement that we elect parties.
Not really. I admitted to the mistake but my point wasn't based on it. My point was based on the FACT that we've never elected a PM......ever, and so pointing out Brown has never been elected and using it as a stick to beat him with is a moot argument.
So if you now concede that we elect individual MP's and not parties it follows from your pedantic logic that the British people have never elected a political party into power either !
And I've already conceded that. Unlike you, who runs away crying you'll never debate with me again, I admit when I've made an error. You didn't seem to have the same inclination to correct JRPornstar, and numerous others on the subject, though, and yet you imply that I'm the blinded fool living in denial. How ironic.

In my defence, I'd put over the argument that most people elect an MP with his/her particular party's policies in mind and not based on that person's character, nor their leader's. If you vote Tory next is it more to do with your local MPs charisma, Tory policy being in line with your own views or because you just want Cameron as PM?
