A great man
Very sad news indeed.
He always came across as a very dignified, humble man with an enormous respect, love and enthusiasm for the game of football. Even in his 70's he had that child-like enthusiasm for talking about the game.
I've never heard anybody who worked with him, footballer, chairman etc have a bad word to say about him.
He battled cancer for over a decade and had done a lot of charity work in that area.
Its an overused cliche, but he really will be very sadly missed.
RIP

Re: R.I.P. Sir Bobby Robson
I heard on the news tonight that there's an idea to rename St James Park in Sir Bobby's honour, and to erect a statue of him there. Quite a fitting tribute if it ever happens. (There is already a statue of him at Portman Road).
