A nice idea, then again, it's said that Freddie Shepherd is in the running to take over NUFC again. He'd prefer to sell the naming rights to SJC for a few quid. He sacked Sir Bobby, so I doubt the fat fuck will be in any way sentimental about it. He believes in cold hard cash, whether it be buying a football club or some Spanish pussy.

The man has provided some great memories, particularly for me as England manager in the 80s. The two World Cup campaigns which he led were gripping and England were unlucky not to go further in both tournaments.

Very sad. A bloke that just oozed niceness.

Horrid how Newcastle United treated him.

Well coming as a Jock I think he was an absolute legend for the English game ... yes I think he had his difficiancies but in no way did he deserve his shocking treatment from the English Press during the latter years of his England tenure.

Perhaps the most annoying aspect is that these same tabloids will be painting him as some sort of saintly figure ... and of course the same characters who were calling for his head will be telling us what a legend the guy was.

But as I say an absolute gem of a man whose infectious character and love of the game seemed to ignite so much respect and passion ... though once the stupid money came into English football those sort of values quickly went out the window.

PEOPLE think Stephen Hawking is so clever, but when you ask him a question and he is typing in the answer on his little screen, how do we know he isn't just looking up the answer on the Internet?

What about how the England 'fans' and the English media treated him when he was England manager?

According to the Anglia News tonight, there's also a proposal to name one fo the Portman Road stands after Sir Bobby.
