We will NEVER join the Euro...

Apparently Rupert Murdoch told Tony Blair back in the 1990's that he would only back him to become PM if he promised not to join the Euro. Blair agreed, then Murdoch's newspaper empire started supporting Blair in a big way. The Sun then did their "It Should Be You!" front page, with a picture of Blair next to it, and pushed very hard after that for Tony Blair to become PM. David Cameron will have to make certain promises to Murdoch in order to get his support in the run up to next years general election, and that is one promise he will have to make to Murdoch. The same will happen with future prospective PM's aswell. As I've said on previous posts, this man Murdoch has never lived in Britain, does not hold a British passport, can not vote here and pays no tax here. Doesn't all this make your blood boil? Whether joining the Euro would be a good thing of not is irrelevant to this, it is the fact this man has this much power!

If he had this much power, why was the DTI allowed to block his bid to take over Man Utd, surely he could've just called in some favours/threats. I think people overestimate Murdoch's influence.
