Arming of the IRA?

Post by supsim96 »

People who've delved into this case have tended to conclude on the whole that the "Libyan Connection" was tenuous at best, possibly totally fabricated by the CIA and MI6.

Such an allegation should have serious repercussions, but it won't . . . .

i.e. the 1980s yank bombing of Tripoli from UK air bases which resulted in "The Colonel" arming the IRA up to the hilt . . .

Yes, now- but that wasn't what you originally said.

Yes, the news today does not put Westminster in a good light [does
it ever?], despite Straw's verbal gymnastics.
He has a point, though, in insisting that the SP has a veto- but he
was a little reticent about how much pressure was put upon its ministers.

I tend to agree- or amend them if subsequently shown to have been
mistaken.

Trouble is, there are a couple of hundred grieving families who may
now never get 'closure' from the arrest of the real perpetrators- and
to my mind, that's not justice. This circus merely distracts our attention
from that unresolved issue.

I'm still confused- but Nurse Thrash is hovering nearby with my
nightly 'medication' [with soda, and crushed ice], so soon I won't
care, or indeed remember : -)

There have been no court cases to punish the stupid incompetent bastard Yank pilots who have killed our soldiers because they were so gung ho and shot anything that moved. If the bastards were any good then we wouldn't have "blue on blue" incidents. There aint any such thing as friendly fire. It is very unfucking friendly.

I see from todays papers that the bastard is now responding to treatment and on the way top a recovery.
I iterate, I wouldn't be surprised if he sees Christmas, whether he is a fucking muslim or not.

In which case he'd see it, but not recognise it : -)
