Attn max...What about...

i accept its better to keep people off benefits, for a wole range of reasons as well as econonic- in times of economic hardship the rise in domestic violence, drugs use and crime all escalate considerably,....So should we all be happier paying higher taxes to subsidise industry and socail cohesion? Also, would you perhaps consider that , generally ,politicians are NOT UP TO THE JOB...IF yoiu want a thriving booming Business Led economy, creating jobs and wealth and tax revenue ( which you cant have if heavily taxed) we need the BEST people to run the country...and politics doesnt nessessarily attract the best people !

Does anyone remember that statue of Margaret Thatcher that was placed in an art gallery, or museum or somewhere, a year or two ago, and some guy beheaded it? Well imagine what will happen when Maggie pops her clogs, I can see her funeral cortege being pelted with bricks and people being arrested! I can genuinely see massive security being required for that, and a carefully hand-picked congregation, aswell. I am sure people will vandalise her grave for years after too!

Have you gone mad? Me recognising that her funeral cortage is likely to get pelted with bricks is tantamount to me 'making a threat' is it? Not sure how exactly. Everywhere she has gone in recent years people have abused her. I remember her going to Dagenham in east London a couple of years ago (I watched this on tv) and a guy walked up to her and said "I think you're the most evil woman on the planet!". And the guy beheading the statue actually happened aswell. Seems likely that her funeral cortage might need some security...

Punishment of crime is meant to give society as a whole a break from the criminal and on occassion rehabilitate the offender. Am open minded to hanging, I don't see why where proof has been ascertained 100% ie through dna that someone shouldn't be hung for a pre-meditated murder.

Of course mistakes have been made in the past, and take it from me if the law/courtroom procedure wasn't simply a 'game' for most barristers and indeed nothing more than a money making machine for them then perhaps justice might be done more often with fluidity and accuracy, instead of descending into whether or not a box was ticked on the blue form instead of the yellow one m'lud therefore my client is innocent of all charges even though he was filmed doing it.

I've several barrister/solicitor friends and they all admit getting someone off has nothing to do with whther they did it or not and everything to do with finding some useless point of law to argue over. Also delay the case as much as possible, you get paid more.
