Selective readers/commentators seem to have missed the point that this clock has been wound in the same manner since 1793.

So what? If we never changed how we did things what would the world be like? There wouldn't be any clocks to fucking wind up never mind an internet in which to moan about articles like this.

And anyway, the clock can still be wound up in the traditional manner if they fix the ladder to the wall. The journo didn't have to work too hard to get you lot to start squawking did he?

Well,I find its the oldest and sorriest blokes !oldie!that have the most interesting banter at times.......i quite enjoy the jousting and teasing and at times can even learn summat along the way so,all good in my book.... Plus,girls that do porn can have interests outside of porn,plus i was a dab hand at conkers at one time.. !happy! x
