The trouble with the use of the expression ?left wing? is that it is so confusing and meant to be, I feel, as used by Labour or Conservative. What is the man on the Clapham bus reading his red top supposed to think when he reads about the ?left wing? of the Conservative Party or the ?right wing? of the Labour Party?
No, the true polarities of political parties of any hue is authoritarian or libertarian which are diametrically opposed to each other, It would be true to say summing up the present situation that there are two authoritarian parties in power and there is hardly any difference between them. In fact they are the best of friends and often ?old boys? who conspire to share power. The present authoritarian party have passed thousands of new laws which Conservatives decry yet there is no talk of repealing any of them because that? Would not be cricket old boy.?
In these columns we read of ?left wingers? who support the ?Communist Party? but you would have thought any fool would have realised that this C word frightens most people and they would have changed the name to something like Peoples Party!
I am a libertarian myself what do you think you are?

You know as well as I do that real freedom is within and that no government, no matter how authoritarian, can take it away from us.
The point of living, as I see it, is to express that inner freedom and accept the consequences with equanimity. I got the impression that was how you lived your life.
Make more films that express your philosophy - life IS sweet and hedonism IS good.

However when you are in a prison cell your liberty taken away by a corrupt authoritarian government like today's Labour Party, acting on orders from the Establishment, it is hard to be philosophical.

I had a German girlfriend once from East Germany and she liked me to be very macho also I lived in Germany for a year and everything is so clean and efficient and the transport runs on time. Now the Netherlands, what a liberal place! I lived in Amsterdam for six years and left my soul there and I hope to return one day.

I believe that there is no such thing as logic and we live in a magical world. The establishment prefers to pretend they now the secret of life and publish simplistic explanations as to how the Universe started with the Big Bang theory and so on. In the beginnng there was nothing, a vacuum so nothing could have come out of it. Philosophy cannot explain why we are here, where we are going or where we came from only debate these mysteries.
As for myself i belive that I am immortal and I spend my life on the Earth in this incarnation seeking to change it. As an artist I have had several glimpses into reality but nothing that i could ever prove.
Synchronicity has played a great part in my life being in the right place at the right time seemingly by accident and as Baudelaire said "A throw of the dice does not eradicate chance." Furtermore Hawkins book on time attempts to justify existence by it is a billion to one etc., but it is the 1 that is important for it is chance. Have you read Carl Gustave Jung on synchronicity?
