This is obvious. Nothing I said in my message contradicted that.

With regard to the not the sharpest etc, I accept your point that there are dumbos voting for all parties.. However, when Griffin accepted on Question Time that the statement on his site about the indigenous British people being based on what happened after the Ice Age, 17,000 years ago was correct, Bonnie's answer was a bit like a mother explaining things to a 4 year old - "Yeah but after the Ice Age, people had to come from the South, Nick because it was too cold in the north etc." was priceless. If the leader comes across as a thicko, heaven help what the rest of the party are like.

Non-whites cannot be a member of the BNP. This is in their constitution and this is what the EHRC has requested the BNP change and Griffin has accepted this, but as the wonderful Bonnie commented about the change to the constitution "Nick, that's going to be interesting!"

Secondly the last time I looked at the constitution about 2 months ago, it had a clause in it about taking the racial mix of the UK back to what it was in 1948 i.e. prior to the West Indian and Asian immigration of a later period.

I just watched Question time and I watched This Week afterwards, which focused on it, and I think Griffin comes out of it similar to how he was before. I doubt this will change levels of support for him. He seems so used to being vilified that nothing really seems to bother him. He seemed to remain quite cool in spite of the attacks on him, and it was interestng that a man in the audience (who was black) didnt tear into Griffin when the host gave him the floor but instead tore into Jack Straw about Labour's immigration policy! So it was a mixed night of things.

big disappointment.no debating of the BNP's policies just blatant personal attacks on Griffen.i thought Griffen weathered the storm pretty well.i think the only one who came out of it with any credibility was the tory woman.straw got totally mugged off by everyone,the lib-dem bloke was a waste of space and as for bonnie greer w.t.f was she doing on there?Griffen will probably be happy with the show.none of them managed to pin him down and give the answers they wanted and he managed to get a few digs in about Islam and the English being discriminated against which will probably attract them some more support.the UAF engaging in their usual violence well thats no suprise.i saw a BNP supporter with a big flag of st.george being escorted by several police officers while a mob of UAF tried to attack him.its funny how the "extremist" needed protecting from the "tolerant"people

If you really thought Griffin did well in Question Time, words fail me. What came across is that Griffin clearly spends all his time with people who agree with every word that he says in carefuly controlled meetings where non-whites are not allowed to attend.
When he gets in an open forum like last night he completely falls apart. As for Bonnie, he had literally no answer whatever for her points.
It was like watching a 4 year debate with men and women.

The BNP has NOT changed its constitution yet. That is the important point. It has to be discussed with the members first and the EHRC has given a number of months to the BNP to make that change.

Secondly do a search on the forum for a discussion of the tired, old BNP argument re. the Black Police Association.

In summary, but you need to read some of the old discussions - the BNP is a political organisation, none of the others that Max listed elsewhere are.

Surely you can see the idiocy of a political party who, if elected, would make decisions and pass laws for everyone, not even allowing non-whites to join their party or in many cases, attend their meetings?

White people CAN attend the Black Police Association. Personally I am more interested in what political parties request from their members than whether I am allowed to join the South India Dance Troupe or not!

"Modernised" his party?
As Jimslip says in another thread, Griffin is a throwback to the 1930's and Oswald Mosley. If that is modernisation you obviously have a different concept of the word's meaning to the one that I have.
We can argue about what modernisation means.
What you seem unable to do is challenge the basic statements made by a number of people on this thread that Griffin is a racist, anti-semitic homophobe.
