Its as if the child on board sign (or sign like it) is like a sort of get out of jail free pass.As in you can drive as you like, park anywhere,go as fast as you want,be on the mobile and nobody will question you.

Amazing that some motors with the sign usualy have two, three or somtimes four children all jumping about the back seat with no child seats or seat belts in sight.
I wonder whos fault it would be if that motor was in an accident and the children were killed or badly hurt?
Would the sign help then ?

Back to the original question, the reason for the retention of the indicator stalk is to provide a place for drivers to hang Feu Orange and other air fresheners.

Child on Board signs signs should be translated as:

I'm a crap driver without a clue about the rules of the road or how to handle this vehicle. Don't be surprised when I do something stupid/illegal/dangerous so, keep your distance for your own safety and, if Mum is driving, stay even further away as she's likely to try to sort out the baby crying/the kids fighting/the kids being sick whilst continuing to drive and at the same time telling their Dad/her best friend/their teacher what is going on using the phone in her left hand, and steering with her knees (thank God we can afford an automatic otherwise she'd never cope).

Absolutely hilarious this post! Thanks chaps

Being the owner of a fuck off 4x4 myself I think people forget the practical uses of a large vehicle: family, transporting equipment for work, cramming people in to get places and such like

The fact you are harping on about women in such vehicles has not gone unnoticed but I do sense a bit of "fanny envy" in that the real annoying thing about this is "she has a bigger one" than you and you feel emasculated for it in your smaller cars.

Of course I could be wrong but thats the first thing that came to mind when the patter was repeated through out this thread.

In fact Im seeing alot of anger towards women in general with the "porn stars as whores" debate going on (knowing that you have to pay for the use of her fanny must make you mad that she wouldnt pay a penny for your dick) add the constant BNP baiting going on I bet a lot of guys are feeling insecure about seeing white women with men who they consider not white.

I'd go so far as to suggest that those same guys would be pissed at their very own white mates having a nicer girlfriend thean them (or even worse if they havent got one)

Well..thats what it sounds like anyway

I sometimes have to use a big 4X4 for work so I do see the practical use of them but is it really necessary for a 300 yard school run ?
My car is most certainly smaller and less practical but it is a damn sight faster and to me it looks a damn sight better, the reasons I bought it in the first place.
So if you think I am envious of a 4x4 "Chelsea tractor" you can think again.

You don't have to defend owning the vehicle you do, its your money, your choice, nothing to do with anyone else.
We have need of you again, great king.

I have to travel 26 miles to and from work each day, I can be asked to work overtime at very short notice sometimes into the early hours. I am a phone call away if needed so do you really expect me to do a 20 hour stretch or rush in if needed on a bike ?
