I always find it interesting when people react hysterically to a so called, "Unofficial" version of a major event, Whether it be the McCanns "Official" version of Maddie's disappearance, or Bush's "Official" version of 9/11. Or the government's "Official" version of the origins of swine flu and need for Tamiflu or best still, Blairs's "Official" version of why we went to war!
Many people violently insist that you must ALWAYS BELIEVE THE AUTHORITIES THEY WOULD NEVER LIE TO YOU!!
Personally, these days I am always sceptical of "Official" versions of anything, especially when there is a whole team of libel lawyers and spin doctors chasing anybody who dares to disagree with the "Official" version.

Of course you're right algarve addick, it makes no difference. Even if there was any truth in the story it makes no difference. However, the person who made the allegation in the first place admits he can't substantiate the claim and that as far as he knows it isn't true. This doesn't though stop the wholly dishonest Reggie Perrin from claiming that it's "perfectly true".
