The McCanns like everybody, are guilty if Reggie says they are (but don't push him for information on which he bases that view) and I suspect, innocent, if Reggie says they are.
However in my perusal of this forum the number of people according to Reggie who are guilty of all sorts (the McCanns, Shaikh, people who live in Cumbria, etc etc) far outweigh the innocent.

Yes you are right. So leave Gordon Brown out of it. As far as anyone is concerned he was doing right by his job. Just saying he opposed it was enough and all what is expected from the PM in this matter. What kind of signal would it send out if Brown didnt offer any opinion on a UK citizen being sent to death? he got column inches and the spin here is that it reinforces what a harsh regime China is and how merciful (read push over) we are to drug smugglers

Please highlight any of my posts in this thread where I said Shaikh was not guilty of carrying drugs? My key point is that there wasnt a mental health assessment carried out by the Chinese as part of this case and therefore, given the written statements made (evidence, remember how I explained to you what that was?), I think there was a miscarriage of justice here.

In the same scenario with Shaikh, my view would be exactly the same.
