Why the hell was my Halal post removed

I take your point, afuk. Shoddy killing techniques that may garner more profit may well be common, and that's sad but not surprising. At least, though, they can be punished within law if caught. Something like a kosher/halal slaughterhouse, on the other hand, get the 'Please pass go and collect ?200' card. In this the law discriminates against non-religious abattoirs. The law should apply to all equally.

While we're on the subject, though, I don't think there's enough evidence to prove that slowly draining an animal of it's blood, using a very sharp instrument, is any more painful than legal accepted ways of killing. It may well be that Halal techniques are more humane, despite how it may look. I'm all for changing the accepted techniques if it helps the animals in any way but the law must treat everyone equally regardless of faith.

I must say, all this "What's Halal?," "It's a genuine question!," "I already know what Halal is!" business was rather contradictory. Can you blame a guy for being confused?
