A perfect example of the knee jerk reaction to images of naked children. Not everyone sees an image of a naked child is a peado!!!
While we're at it they must have forgot about the civil liberties of us adults as well.
As valid as this claim may be only in the UK could someone bring this up and forget about adults not giving consent for others to see them naked.
I wonder how soon would images of celebrity x rays end up on the internet.

What I really meant to say is, how is a body scan of a child considered indecent?
I dont even think a naked woman or man is indecent. What makes it sexual is what they are doing and how they are posed...The difference between art and porn if you like.

The scans do have a wet t-shirt contest look about them, so I suppose someone could get off on that. It just needs legislating who can operate and view the scans, so that, like doctors for example, some can do what others couldn't.
No doubt certain ideology groups will find a 'cultural' objection to them, and as usual we'll capitulate to their demands, so they may not be that effective.

The kids argument is fine but then you would have thought they would have considered adults liberties first.
For instance, muslim women who are not supposed to be seen in such ways but then why should any other western women be seen the same way as well. im sure many women would take offence to some bloke seeing their bits.
Porn stars and such wont be bothered but Im sure many civic minded citizens wouldnt be too pleased about being seen naked at the airport.

I don't like body scanners as they will catch me out when I try to smuggle bombs onto aircraft.

Re: Bodyscanners could break child porn laws!!!!
Its simple.
You don't want to go through the scanner? OK, you miss your flight! End of! You can claim back 75% of your ticket price
They'll soon reconsider their 'liberties' then
