Hi
The Dutch government supported the invasion of Iraq, politically but not the military campaign. They did provide troops for the "stabilisation" period. No comment!
However they have subsequently had an extensive inquiry to look at the legality of the war.
Their decision is here
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/8453305.stm
The report accuses ministers of a selective use of intelligence reports and the Dutch parliament is likely now to consider whether the prime minister misled parliament, and whether to launch a formal parliamentary inquiry.
With the way, things appear to be going, it might be a good idea if Blair and Bush avoid trips to the Netherlands in coming years. In particular, the Hague where the International Court for Criminal Justice resides.
How wonderful it would be to see Blair's self-satisfied, smug, cheesy grin wiped off his face behind bullet proof glass.
Cheers

"In such countries, genocide is not too important." - President Mitterrand on French involvement in the Rwandan genocides.
Will the Dutch sort out something from 1994 before getting to the noughties?
