If they are shouting 'scum' at them and the fact they have a brown face is part, or all, of the reason for doing it then yes that is racism. If they are yelling this at the people because of the way they are behaving and them having brown faces is nothing to do with the decision to call them 'scum' - they are yelling that term at them solely because of their behaviour, and how they look is not a factor in their decision to do it, then it is not racism. The term 'racist' is over-used, mis-used, wrongly applied, etc, so often that the term is becoming devalued and will eventually be meaningless.

We have to stop banging on about Muslims being this that and the other.

Various posts have pointed out that there are extremists in all walks of society and religions. In my mind they are all as bad as each other and none should be tolerated, peaceful debate/protest is fine but the advocation of violence sould be stamped down on.

And its no use harping on about yes but they have a point the Iraq war is illegal blah blah, that might be so, but 2 wrongs don't make a rightand allowing people to promote beheadings or whatever else is hardly the way forward to bringing about true justice.

There are millions of Muslims who would not condone the extremists and to continue to refer to Muslims generically only serves to widen the gap.

My example being, the policeman in NI who was blown up the other day on another forum somewhere, someone suggested that maybe the Muslims had done it in order to further divide NI..... enough said
