Some women just can't help it I suppose. From what I understand, high profile murder cases also attract certain women. This, and those things are so bizarre I don't think it can be really explained in a satisfactory way.
Also while it's of course a little peeve and of little significance, I really dislike how the news feel the need to point out in big headline letters that the guy is a "cage fighter". I don't think they'd do that if the guy was a plumber, and his plumber occupation would have as little to do with him being a sociopath that requires lifetime confinement than this "cage fighter" business.

The key issue is that he wasn't a Cage Fighter. He only claimed to be one.
Lynch never participated in any sanctioned MMA competition. He worked out at a Dojo but never trained as a fighter.
Throughout his trial the prosecution barrister referred to Lynch as a "Gangster", however I never saw any mention of past convictions in the press to indicate what type of criminal activity he may of participated in.
This was his final message to Katie, what makes it rather chilling is that while he was writing this he had his friend waiting outside Katie's flat with the cup of acid and he had given him the instruction to throw it in her face:

I hear you Mr Chapel and dont you worry. bad things ultimately do come to those people. Sure they may not burn in the fiery pits of hell and be farted out by Satan himself but someone somewhere will be slick to the situation and some nutter without thinking may probably do something horrible.

Just dont be too surprised if you read something even 10 years down the line and Im sure you wont be shedding a tear in feeling sorry for them.

Most of the people you identify as 'do-gooders' are more likely to be motivated by money than by a sense of injustice or a desire to do good. An appeal brings money into the coffers of a legal practice. Do you think they'd do it for nothing ? I doubt whether there would be a strong, sincere belief that the guy has been treated harshly or inconsistently; more likely they would see an income stream.

"I had a disciplinary adjudication for an unauthorised article - a mobile phone - and received punishment of cellular confinement, loss of canteen etc.
'However, one issue that has come to the surface is the loss of gymnasium.
'In the rules it clearly states that statutory gym is not a privilege and must not be withdrawn as a punishment."
And this is a email he sent to Katie Piper excusing himself for raping her and splitting her head wide open. He blames depression:
"hey, look i just wanyted to say that you wasnt wronging me and given the chance i can be the danny you fell in love with, its hard at the minuit i know but k what we had can neva be matched, i want to make you happy again and to love me you are my world kaiete it doent seem it but you are and you know i am getting steroid rage and i guess depression, i neva even realised that I?m depressed! but with out them i can and will be the danny you fell in love with.
