Thats a fair point too but the reality we know is, that money would never be spent here. That money would go onto some other humanitarian cause because thats the spin on being in such a wealthy country, that is all about appearances than personally caring. its all about politics. its a smoke screen to get favourable response in politics in the event we need something like missile bases in your country "hey remember we stopped your nation from starving"?

Plus there are people who want the entire continent of Africa rid of by famine, disease and warring so they can move in and colonise the place.

No one wants to see Africa become united and strong because they know what ahuge impact it would have on commerce. For an example. see Iraq and the middle east and the oil business and we hate them too becausewe feel we are getting our gogglies twisted bu those who have the power to ruin us in the west.

Its not as simple as that of course because the point is diffused by politics and more politics,then more...Well you get the point but it is what it is otherwise what interest would it be to the west to help a nation of africans dying of hunger, disease and war?

I do not.
What has happened in the past has happened and what is happening there now is happening purely and simply because they want to do what they have always done before the white man descended on the place and took over.
Whatever the British ever did before you and I and our grandparents ever did is imaterial, and I say if the Mugabes of this world do as they are doing and the world lets them then what should we do?
Let's not forget that there are many former colonies around the world that still adhere to the principles given to them by British rule and they manage to live in peace and harmony.
I have served in several former colonies and I can assure you that they are still adhering to our rules because they like them and haven't found any better.
Singapore, Sarawak, Brunei, Malaya, Cyprus, Canada, Jamaica, Belize, to name but a few.
