Hi Guys & Gals,
Looking to do some filming at home/near home locations and unfortunately at the mo cant BUY a decent video camera - so was thinking of hiring one for a weekend......!!
There are a number of camermen who have offered services to film and thank you all - I may very well get in contact with you for future projects, but I would still like to know what camera the forum would recommend to hire.(any contacts for industry reduced rental hire wouldnt be sniffed at either !grin!)
needs to be able to film at broadcastable quality etc
opinions please

Yo Spannerman...Have you got insurance to hire equipment out? I think things have tightened up in this area.
A Sony Z1 should see you ok. You'll probably get a good rate for a weekend.

Thanks OEJ,
I take it you mean Home contents insurance or some such - will have a looksie thru my docs , but am pretty sure i'm up to date - I was thinking that the companty i rent it from might have some kind of insurance to cover leasing thier equipment - but a very valid point, I will check it out
Thanks for the tip about the sony
