Personally, I would have thought it wasn't a particularly good strategy to get a filthy rich, perma-tanned war criminal to come and speak in favour of a Labour government.

But there you go, politics in this country seems to be getting increasingly bizarre. I watched part of the debate between Osborne, Darling and Cable on the box and saw the weird sight of Darling and Cable moaning at Osborne for not using all the money from planned cuts to reduce the national deficit but instead giving some away to reduce national insurance for people including the less well-off.
