Anyone good at electronics?

Hi

I have this project I am working on and need some a few things connected up but dont realy have a clue plus not tools to do so.

There is one sound chip that will connect through an amplifier and speaker to some swiched to turn various sounds on. I have all the plans/bits etc so if anyone can do it it will take them almost no time at all.

Just for the record its not a sex toy lol

If you have bought this as a kit, then it is usually a case of soldering the parts into the holes in the supplied circuit board. Often, a soldering iron and some solder is all you need for these kits. It shouldn't be too hard to find someone who can loan you their soldering iron (you'll need one with a small tip most likely). You might need a few metres of solder too if that wasn't supplied.

However, I can't give any advice about exactly HOW to get the sound signal from your chip output to your amplifier etc. The net has zillions of sites for hobbyists which might help with this.

Actually, a cheap soldering iron might be worth buying anyway. They probably cost less than 10 pounds in the UK for a cheapie - and they're handy to have anyway (a guy's point of view).

Yeah Deano's about right - try Maplin Electronics for a decent small tipped soldering iron (should be no more than 15 quid). They are pretty good with advice too.
