I was in Amsterdam at the weekend and I really enjoy the laid back atmosphere. I was a bit concerned at the airport though when I saw a young police woman/soldier carrying a machine gun. Not that she looked incapable of using it,only she looked like she should have been at school.
I always thought that with their laid back attitude they would have no ambitions to be elite troops. Then again every profession has some people who want to be the best.

Looks deceive, when I was in Israel some years ago, the place was full of big breasted young babes holding M16's and I reckon they wouldn't have given a second thought to blowing me away if they'd thought that i was an AY-RAB sympathiser.

I once thought as you do until I read an article and saw something on tv that dared to go against the grain and explain how pirates are recruited and do what they do.

Lets not forget that they are not a mischievous roving band of brigands looking for trouble on a Friday night.

I am not condoning their activities at the expense of people sailing by minding their own business but I can understand it and I certainly wouldnt be taking a cruise anywhere near those waters knowingly.

Yes you may feel I am justifying their actions. Im just saying this issue isnt good guys vs bad/ black and white/ cut and dried as you would like to see it.

Look at itin a simple way...An animal loses its territory to external interests so therefore has to go out further to get food to survive.

If we feel that people who dont like britain should fget the fuck out then maybe those sailing near there should alter their trade routes and act accordingly.

If these guys get shot in foreign waters then so be it but while they are near their own lands then i believe in practising what we preach. it really is simple as that.

Not everyone who steals does so because of evil. More oft than not they do it because of necessity.

I would suggest you question the media put to you and try to validate why things maybe the way they are.

My use of the term"It's an outrage" is being ironic! It is saying that someone (The Dutch) actually dared to take revenge against a band of bloodthirsty murderers who I suspect are not distributing their spoils amongst the general population of Somalia but stashing it away in Swiss bank accounts for themselves to squander at a later date.

Yes, you are right, Iraq is an outrage and so is the occupation of Afganistan as is the persecution of the population of Zimbabwe and China's occupation of Tibet. War in Vietnam and every other corrupt war the Americans have been involved in. Israels enslavement of the Palestinians, etc etc

I am not selective in who I condemn and not condemn. I condemn ALL of those who impose their will on others who are weaker than themselves, whatever their colour or creed.
