I am aware that some members of this forum are professional smutty movie makers who have to get good results from the shoot through to the final product with a tight equipment budget.
So, I'm just wondering which brand and type of editing software does the typical BGAFD raunchy movie maker use when producing a product for sale? Also, is it true that Apple Mac systems are the industry standard platform still?
I'm only curious because I muck around with one of the cheap-n-cheerful editors from AVS Video Tools which has opened my eyes to just how much hard work goes into editing up something with music and titles and a sequence of scenes that follow through nicely. I'm interested in what porn movie editors use.

Re: Video Editing Software?
I have never used Sony Vegas myself but i went to the Broadcast Exhibitioin a couple of years ago where they were demonstrating it and it did appear to be very versatile, of course they made it look easy to use but well worth a consideration.
Re: Video Editing Software?
I use Final Cut Pro, it works very well, some elements are a bit daft, but generally it's excellent.

Final Cut Pro.
9/10 films cut using NLE (Non-linear editing) submitted to the Oscars were cut using FCP.

We have need of you again, great king.
Re: Video Editing Software?
We use Pinnacle 12 (very user friendly) & Sony Vegas 8 (not very user friendly lol!) both do a great job but we stick mainly to Pinnacle 12 with most of editing because we are lazy & its so simple to use.

That's interesting. I remember talking to a guy a few years ago who's main business was producing TV ads and I'm sure he mentioned FCP being the industry standard as well in the advertising caper.

It just depends what you are looking for and the limit of your budget and whether you use PC or Mac. otherwise, either or does the same thing.

Yep, as I often tell the girls, its not what you've got, its how you use it.
One of the winning films at Cannes a few years ago (the 'proper' festival) was cut using iMovie, the free video software that comes installed with every mac.
