Couple of points:
I happen to live in Barking & Dagenham. The BNP never had enough councillors to make any difference to the area let alone create a "wonderland". Yes the BNP were the official opposition but even if half the Labour group on the council had stayed home the rest would still easily have outvoted the BNP. On one occasion the BNP councillors put forward a motion but then 11 of the 12 forgot to turn up to vote. If brains were dynamite, the BNP wouldn't have enough to blow their hats off.

And to Terry:
"Even if they never let another person of colour into this country"

Funnily enough the locals were not objecting to coloured people living here (despite the BNP's view) - Indians, Pakistanis, West Indians et al are long established, it was the influx of eastern European immigrants that got most people's goat. Trouble is most people in this area are/were too stupid to realise that whoever got into power would not be able to do a thing about it while we remain members of the EU.

The NAZI bastards in the BNP are not the answer to controlled immigration. A level headed government with the care of the country is the answer. Broon and his hotch potch bunch of selfseeking bastards aren't the ones to do it as they have shown and Clegg and his bunch of pie in the sky wankers aren't the ones either.

I think you mean self-serving. No government of any persuasion can stop immigration from EU member states however much you might like them to.

The problem is most of the BNP supporters don't know how to read or write. Hard to vote when that's the case isn't it...

One thing that I think made Nick Griffin look very unprofessional was his immodesty and lust for the limelight. How is it that, not long after winning the MEP's seat for the north-west, he personally stands for Barking & Dagenham to be their MP? Why didn't he allow one of the 'rising stars' within the party to do so? It seems to me that his ego is so big that he would always personally stand for the seats himself that the party has the most chance of winning. I personally am surprised that someone could be an MEP and an MP at the same time. You have to live in the constituency you represent and to be on its electoral register - and how Griffin can live in Wales (where his family home apparently is), also live in the north-west of England where he is an MEP, and live in Barking & Dagenham aswell is beyond me. His lust for the limelight, and his mammoth ego, did him a lot of damage I think.
